"We just want to take a
second to let you know how the Barbecue for Children’s Hospital turned out.
"We were
able to accomplish all of our goals. We received numerous public service
announcements on four local radio stations, one cable TV station, and three
local newspapers. We had representatives from the Highway Patrol, Fire
Department, and East Wenatchee D.A.R.E. We also had the staff from Rock
Island Elementary School here to help us stuff backpacks with supplies.
"All in all it was a very
positive experience. We were able to establish ourselves as active in the
community and were able to raise nearly $500.00 for Children’s Hospital.
"Thanks
again from all of us at East Wenatchee Costco. You have been a joy and a
help to us that we will not soon forget! "

Truth is knowing that your
character is shaped by your every day choices.
Vince Lombardi
We all
live three lives: public, private and secret. In our public lives, we are
seen and heard by colleagues, associates, and others within our circle of
influence. In our private lives, we interact more intimately with spouses,
family members, and close friends. The secret life is where your heart is,
where your real motives are the ultimate desires of your life.
Many executives never visit the secret life. Their public and private lives
are essentially scripted by who and what precedes and surrounds them or by
the pressures of the environment. And so they never exercise that unique
endowment of self-awareness - the key to the secret life where you can stand
apart from yourself and observe your own involvement.
--Stephen Covey
